Beyond what was planned, we only briefly discussed the setting of Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry and To Kill a Mockingbird. More importantly, I went into detail about the unit materials by distributing a calendar of all of the assignments and required items for the entirety of this novel study. This way, students who fall behind or are ahead of the the class’ pacing can also work ahead as well to keep them locked into the unit. The detailed unit information can be found on the page below.
