Study: Students value role of testing

A recent article from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution cites recent studies stating that teachers and students support testing if it is purposeful and relevant.  Furthermore, it comments upon the overwhelming number of African-American, Hispanic, and Asian students (over 60%) who believe that state-mandated testing has a significant impact upon their futures versus only 47% of Caucasian students mirroring those feelings.

This is certainly food for thought.
